Gunfleet Windfarm training sail

A training sail out to the Gunfleet windfarm. As kids, my brother and I sailed a Topper dinghy out to the Gunfleet Sands, upon which (more or less) the turbines are perched, so for a while I had been keen to repeat the sail. This picture is from my first sail out there on a very light wind day.

I wasn't quite sure of my rights on this first sail out, and did attract the attentions of a vessel that seemed to be working there, so did a bit of research afterwards. It seems that boats are allowed to sail through windfarms that are finished (ie not in construction) provided there are no notices out that say otherwise, and a minimum distance of 50 from the turbines is observed.
